Claire and I are very pleased to be over the Christmas flower and door wreath rush at our flower shop in Devizes. There are no more black hands from blue spruce sap, and thankfully no more clothes covered in glitter.

Now that the festive season is behind us, we’re excited to settle back into the new year and the changing seasons. This is always a time that brings fresh inspiration into the shop, and it’s one of our favourite moments as a local Wiltshire florist.

Spring Flowers Bulbs

Spring flower bulbs are one of our favourite ways to welcome the new season into the shop. At this time of year, we usually have a selection of hyacinths, narcissus, muscari, and daffodils, each bringing their own character, colour, and scent.

Bulbs make thoughtful gifts and lovely home decorations because they continue to change and grow over time. Whether it’s the scent of a hyacinth, the delicate form of muscari, or the cheerful brightness of daffodils, they bring a real sense of life into a space and can be enjoyed for weeks rather than days.

We plant our bulbs in stone or ceramic containers, as well as birch pots, keeping the look natural and understated. This simple, country styling feels very much in keeping with the Wiltshire countryside and allows the flowers themselves to take centre stage. Placed on a kitchen table, windowsill, or hallway, they offer an easy way to add a touch of spring indoors.
