Our story : Tracey – the proud owner of ammi flowers, the independent florist shop in Devizes.

I can’t believe it’s been 18 years since I founded Ammi Flowers our little Independent florist Devizes, Wiltshire. We specialise in creating individual and unique hand crafted bouquets, floral arrangements and displays for every occaion. We are named after one of my favourite flowers ‘ammi majus’. Not as is often thought that my name is Ammi.

Leaving behind a career in retail finance in London and looking for something more creative and a new adventure: I embarked on a series of courses trying different things – it seems pottery and glass blowing are not my forte! Then I came across floristry and fell in love. I’d finally found what I had been looking for. I trained for two years at Wiltshire College Lackham, gaining formal qualifications, and later attended courses with leading London florists gaining some insight into the more modern side of floristry. These experiences shaped my vision: to create a modern, stylish florist shop in Devizes, offering something different from the more traditional high street florists found in many market towns.

I love European floristry and am inspired by the natural world, moss, lichen, foliages and natural wood and stone provide the ideas behind many of our designs. Our Instagram page show some of these designs. We’re also known locally for our creative window displays, which have become a destination in Devizes. I now have a team of highly qualified, experienced like minded florists who share my passion for floral design, good quality cut flowers, interesting plants and of course excellent customer service. We have a wide range of seasonal flowers for you to choose from. I travel to Belgium to source many of the sundries and containers that make our style unique and provide something different for our wonderful local clientele. Behind the scenes, our dedicated delivery drivers ensure every bouquet arrives safely and on time across Devizes and the surrounding Wiltshire villages.
